The varieties Bago has planted have evolved from trial and careful
scientific research over the past 20 years. We are always trialling new
varieties as well as maintaining the vines that provide the backbone of
the vineyard’s fruit stock. Despite ongoing advances in the field of
viticulture there are never any guarantees as to the performance of any
variety and it often takes several years before the quality of the
fruit becomes apparent. We have an ever growing list of varieties we
would like trial, and it is this commitment to innovation which
distinguishes Bago Vineyards from other produces in the area.
